Good to see the updates keep them coming.

I am done my 40 days now today is day 41. Weight a bit strange. was 217.2 yesterday and 217.8 today?? But for last while have not been drinking much water at all as per advice on other Water Fasting section. Just trying to drink when thirsty but don't seem to be thirsty much.
I did drink some juice yesterday but not a whole lot.Maybe 24 ozs total and not much water maybe glass or two tops.

But weight can fluctuate and bit and not taking in any water can even make a person hold some. I was hoping to be 216 today but whatever.Not going to worry too much.

I have been doing 30 minutes or so 5x week thruout the fast and will continue that might do what you have done do treadmill in morning or walk/jog/run if weather gets nicer its still mid winter up here and do my recumbent bike at night watching tv for another 30 or so. Can't see doing more than hour day tops 5x week would be lots.

I am starting up my weights ,have adjustable dumbell set and have bowflex top of line machine as well at home so do that 3x week for now full body workouts maybe increase to 4x week split body in month or two.

For refeed today bought some mixed fruit salad. It has apples, cantelope,grapes and thought it said pineapple but not sure see any in there.

I had piece of apple and few grapes just now but not really hungry at all still and figure first rule of the new lifestyle is only eat when hungry.

So guess just wait a bit few hours and see how that goes.
It didn't taste great to me.Maybe because this fruit salad was sitting in fridge at store and not fresh fruit.

I also have some mini almonds natural no salt nothing that can maybe have some of those. Figure might be good to put in some good fat and protein and while they are high calorie not too bad if you don't have too many a day.
So may start taking some of those.

Also my left foot around ankle is hurting today. Maybe overdid on bike or maybe start of gout attack? I do have gout and get some attacks here and there usually only one a year sometimes none. I don't take any meds for the gout maybe should but don't like meds.

The attack or feeling its not a full attack yet might be coming on from the low fluid intake. I am pretty sure people with gout have to keep up fluid intake especially when losing weigth fast . pretty sure that puts a lot of uric acid into the blood and it can form crystals in the joints usually big toe but sometimes other joints and sometimes,once so far got uric acid kidney stones. they hurt bad but fortunately they dissolved on their own no surgery needed.

But just chugged down 4 glasses of water ,don't think going to drink any juice today and will likely chug down another 4 to 6 today spaced out thru day.
Sometimes drinking a lot of water will stop the gout attack quickly and will have wife try to get me some cherries they can help as well but not sure they are in stores here now. If not then get some cherry juice from store or health food store. that also helps pretty quickly usually.

I am not 100% sure its gout attack as said mabye just hurt it a bit pushing myself on the bike last night.

I really wanted to hit 216 today.

As for why you are not seeing gains well you are likely of course still losing weight even on your refeed since dont' sound like refeed is giving you that much calories.
So if you are losing 1/2 pound a day since end of fast or even 1/4 and doing all that exercise which will burn off more calories and help to get your burn rate up even more and sooner then you could easily be up 5 on water but still down 5 on the scale. I wouldn't be complaining! LOL

So maybe should get some fresh fruit today and skip this fruit salad since maybe its just a bit old. Not sure checked for date.

I was thinking to try some fresh berry mix,like strawberry, raspberry, blueberry and blackberry either by themselves or possibly with some low fat yogurt. I don't think going to have much trouble on refeed my stomach is usually cast iron! LOL fact normally eat a lot of spices no problem at all and did on this fast have some spiced up clamato juice.
No vodka of course but it might have been interesting! LOL

So looking forward to more of your updates ICY you keep it up and sure you will drop more weight. You might want to try EAT STOP EAT it looks super doable long term as lifestyle change maybe better than eating window.I plan on that. And you might want to add weights they are better than aerobics for keeping up burn rate long after aerobic effects are gone. You may also want to try some green tea capsules should increase burn rate even more and take off ,help keep off weight.I plan to start taking some shortly. Or drinking real green tea likely with either stevia or splenda.

I would not worry about eating meat on refeed.I think meat was the normal food for humans for millions of years as man didn't always have fruit around or vegetable in middle of winter when food was scarce and he was forced to fast /starve.I think meat is very digestable actually. And I will be having some meat dishes pretty quickly over next week or 10 days certainly not staying with just fruits and vegetables that is unnatural diet and while might keep weight off meat can actually satisfy better and some protein replenishment should be welcome for exercises especially since will be doing weights.

I don't plan to eat a 12 oz steak tommmorrow or anything though.

Its calories in and calories burned don't matter if you take in carbs,fat,whatever really is what I think. They have compared various diets and while say low carb worked bit better short term no real lasting improvement all diets seem to work about same if the calories are taken into account. Not guess some people have other problems maybe me included with gluten, diary etc food allergies . And mabye some can't handle too much carbs.

Will proceed on my refeed and for now just eat whatever but will try to eat healthy of course brown rice, whole grain bread, low fat milk, etc. Heck when I see how many extra calories was taking in pre fast no wonder couldn't lose weight even doing lots of exercise mostly aerbobics but some weights.

For example loved ice tea and bottled with Sugar or honey green tea. Tons of calories there. And sometimes did drink normal pop.
This time around its going to be water, real green tea with as said stevia or splenda and only pop going to drink is some coke zero or pepsi max or a and w diet root beer or couple more . Not going to be drinking 1000s of liquid calories.
have butter powder to try on my popcorn and going to try some substitues for seasoning with no butter.
Going to make water my main drink . Cut my snacking way down to mabye at show and couple times a week tops. Or make sure have things like berries and low fat yogurt and little bit of splenda. Put splenda in recipes too. Just lots of ways to nibble down the calories, eat the low cal stuff on menus switch to the low cal stuff when eating at the junk food restaurants that go to occasionally or have less items unsupersize myself....

You are doing great to keep the weight down and I really really don't want to gain any back but also expected a bit of water weight regain. It might happen but mabye not if we keep up the exercise and eat light or intermittent eat.
Eating when hungry is likely the best advice as really our stomachs have shrunk down a lot too so if we don't force it shouldn't have much trouble being full. I have zero hunger still dont' even feel like eating even another piece of apple.
