Great Job WY!
Greetings to all fellow Water Fasters. At last, I begin my Journey.
I'm approaching the 4-hour mark of day 3. The plan is to go 7 full days, which will be a new 'record' for me. Already I've lost 3 pounds, and have noticed some mild cleansing....like a small amount of dark Wax coming out of my right ear, and Salt coming out of my eyes. Also, my leg swelling is almost back to normal now.
Greetings WY,
Congratulations on your success. It's nice to see how immediately some issues begin to clear up once we are fasting.
However, my main reason for fasting has not been addressed as yet....Sciatic Nerve pain. Somehow I knew this wasn't going to be easy. Repeated long Fasts may be on the Horizon.
I feel for you, sciatica is such a painful and persistent nuissance. The fast can only help, but in case it doesn't resolve the issue completely on its own, i tell you the truth that i have enjoyed very quick success in this regard many years ago with chiropractic... several years before i undertook any long fasts. It will be interesting to see if your body is able to eliminate it in this 7 day fast and how excellent if it does!
I've been drinking Water for 12 hours (8am, noon, 4pm, and 8pm) then 'Dry Fasting' the other 12. This morning I skipped my 8am water, and will take my first water at Noon, making it 16-hours dry since my last water. I hope to do a '24-hour Dry Fast' on day 7.
This is similar to what i do in a way, except that i'm a big proponent of listening to my body... drinking only when thirsty, whatever time it might be and often i will resist minor thirst which will come and go and await a thirst that is more moderate and persisting. To me there is something amazing and wonderful about allowing my body which is immeasurably wiser than me to be my guide in every facet of fasting though i do respect your freedom to do it with a schedule as u wish... nothing about it sounds particularly terrible and it actually sounds a lot better than forcing down more than what the body is calling for. Whenever i drink in a fast, it is an exciting endeavor and a tremendous delight to my soul because my body is absolutely ready for it... and i hope with your schedule you experience the same :). The 24 hour final-kick dry-fast should be a nice challenge for you and assuming you're not going to go out in the heat and/or sweat a lot, i would expect everything to work out great.
I especially want to thank Chiron and Monte for their support. There's no way I can fail now...... WY
I don't believe you can either :). All the best to you.
