Thank you, I have the emergency number if the phones (mobile and landlines) go down. The mobile towers get pretty wrecked in a big cyclone, but they might be lucky this time.

Dad said that the Army personnel are helping everybody get ready, sandbagging, providing generators, food and water. Dad, being an ex-soldier, wishes he could be out there helping them, but he has a big enough job just preparing his own home.

All we can do is send good energy, and hope for the best.

Dad's a tough old bloke, and he'll get through just fine I'm sure.
