Re: Intermittent Fasting

i just want to clarify--I'm not against dry fasting "in toto"--but I do think no first time faster should be encouraged to do it. It IS extreme. And I would hope anyone who's going to undertake one, has read a lot of the fasting masters and knows what to expect on a water only fast first--also--is not into the idea of exercising in order to intensify the feeling.

With some of these 'plans' people are putting forth, honestly, you would think they have super-hero complexes that are leftover form childhood. Just do a plain water fast, first. Enough with all the talk about one day this, one day that. Do one lengthy (whatever that is for you) Water Fast that you don't have to stop ot "lose", and enough with all the ways to mix it up. That's just a lot of smoke and mirrors.

edit--I just looked up some of Fonty's posts. Anyone interested in dry fasting might want to. You will see it's always been controversial. He seems to have dry fasted first for 3 days, then 5, then 7. Doing several of each. seven looks like the longest he did. not sure. But he studied first!
