"Thanks :). I think what gave me anxiety over all was, at first I was losing 2 lbs in water per day, and then it stopped cold. I didn't lose anything the next day and even gained a bit (.2), and then the next day I lost (.8). Is less than a lb a day normal."

It's important for us to realize that once we enter into ketosis about 1.5 to 2.5 days into our fast and all the way through the end of it, we are burning fat as our primary fuel source and our body has absolutely no choice in the matter. To say this another way, every second, every minute, every hour and every day that we are in ketosis we are burning fat! It is not something that comes and goes. The consistent, uninterrupted burning of fat by our body in ketosis is something we can count on completely.
It would be worthwhile for us to understand that from a weight-loss and body composition perspective this unshakable reality of continuous fat burning is what's important, not what the scale says from moment to moment or day to day as our water content fluxuates.
