You have as long as you want to make up your mind. Ignore the pressure put on you by your doctor; it amounts to emotional blackmail.

I've passed a 3.5cm by 2.5 cm stone and there are plenty of people in the same league. Keep flushing every 2 to 3 weeks and you will be rewarded. If your gallbladder is in poor shape it will take several flushes before it regains enough power to expel the large stone from the duct. Remember that the gallbladder is a muscle covering around a bladder and like any muscle in poor condition it needs repeated exercise.

Keep eating apples, drinking apple juice and flushing. There is a significant risk that surgery will not cure your problem and you will continue to form stones in the liver and bile ducts.

A cyst on the kidney is not uncommon so don't let it freak you out either.
