I am seeing this message thread for the first time as I was googling how to help my own daughter (7 yrs old) who is battling with a vicious, dry cough that is kind of coming from the chest with some wheezing, at times. She got this cough around 2 years ago when we visited a nice hill station up in the mountains and it took over a month to go away. Last year, she was OK, but she just got it back 2 days ago. Tomorrow, she is participating in a play and has also been chosen for her school "Idol" show for which she is singing a song! I guess time is too short to get ideas for cough relief for tomorrow, but I am very curious to find out whether something worked for your daughter or not since it has been 5 yrs since you posted this appeal. I (45 yrs old) myself get these allergic coughs from time to time and last time I was bed ridden literally for a month till I had to get on some steroids for relief that I had never used before. This year I have been OK, but I dread anytime I hear a cough! You can call it cough paranoia.
