Re: Ok on water fast and want to hear from people that have fasted and kept the weight off post fast and exactly what they did ,exercise, did they change to low carb, intermittent fasting, etc.I really can't afford to gain this weight back!
Thanks for the explanation of how you are keeping it off.
Are you also doing like aerobics and weights?
If so how much?
I also have done research and figured to do intermittent fasting. Your method of course is one way and seems to work. Eating simply once a day is another although bit harsher.
One I am going to do which is bit more flexible I think but would give slower weight loss is EAT STOP EAT. On this you intermittent fast 1 or 2 times a week. 24 hours only. So if eat supper on sunday night then skip breakfast and lunch on monday then eat monday supper. Do this once or twice a week depending on how your weight is doing.
Sounds easy and seems to work for people doing it. Of course you still need to watch you don't eat 3000 or 5000 calories a day! And he recommends weight training says more important then aerobics. I will still likely do both.
5x week aerobics do that now and 3x week weights did them for month pre fast but stopped during water fast.
I was considering raw and might be able to do it for a few weeks maybe a month but not really into it full time. And could maybe do a 80/20 type of raw for longer. Vegetarianism for more than a few weeks is out for me.
low calorie daily is hard to sustain and low carb gets boring I like my carbs. I intend to still eat the odd bad food, pie, birthday cake, etc father eats normal stuff and he is 93 still doing ok.
You give good hope that you can lose the weight with fasting and keep it off. Most people of course say no way will gain it all back in a week. Beats me how could gain back 60 or 100
pounds in a week but hey whatever. They also figure I should be dead already from 17 days on water only. Fact most don't think am actually doing it.
Again whatever. I also hear you on the loss of weight and how much better I feel .I had lots of little issues from the overweight. Feet hurt when walking or trying to jog or run.Thought it was my flat feet it was my weight.
Back hurt a lot.Its feeling good now. Was out of breadth bad figured my heart was pooched when going up stairs too. Better already. I had really bad fatigue basically chronic fatigue and think big part of that was overweight.
Had bad acid reflux sometimes. Figure fast is giving chance to heal that up and maybe get rid of that problem.
Of course the difference in self esteem from not being fat is very significant in persons life. Never wanted a pic taken of me, didn't feel great in public. Just bunch of chain reactions from being overweight.
