Hi Cisco,
My Sister and her family will be able to return to their home next week. She is not looking forward to the cleanup, lots of mud and lots of damage.
My Dad is on a hill, so he was spared the floods.
I agree about the weather, we have had a lot of extremes in the last few years. When I talk to the old timers around here, they too think that we are building up to something crazy.
My thoughts are, that humans can't go on polluting the planet without there being some very dire consequences. The craziness of the weather is just a part of what is happening.
We are poisoning the water, air and land, with chemicals from coal burning, and other fossil fuel burning. There is pollution from agricultural chemicals, factories, plastics, pharmaceuticals, and numerous other things. It simply cannot continue without serious consequences.
I'm optimistic that people will realise this, as there is so much we can do to lessen the impact on our planet. We don't have to wait for the change to be forced on us, or the government to make a decision, we can change the way we live, and help our Earth and ourselves.
