The slow transit time to a bowel movement (what you discribed I would call constipation) is probably that the liver isn't producing, or releasing bile appropriately. Since it is when you experience discomfort in the liver area that your stomach goes flat and you then apparently have a bowel movement? makes me think that you may be having pain/discomfort with when the gall bladder does release bile. That makes me wonder if you have GB stones that are at least partially blocking. I would like someone else with experience to weigh in on this. But, I would be doing LFs every two weeks!
Have you done any LFs? And if so, what were your results? Also, have you correlated what you have eaten at the meal prior to the pain?
