Re: question question

Hi CC,

I have a few recommendations for you to consider:

with the type of symptoms you have I am wondering about both parasites/bacteria and heavy metals.

GG covered the Iodine part which is hugely important.

A lab like Diagnos-Techs does a great stool test. They are not fool proof but they can be a great tool to get some info from to give you some direction.

http://www.directlabs.com
has a "Hair Elements" test to check for heavy metals. There is a special way to read the hair test called the counting rules which you can find here:

the following is decent overview of mercury poisoning and the Cutler protocol to chelate safely:
http://livingnetwork.co.za/chelationnetwork/chelation-the-andy-cutler-protocol/

and another site on mercury detox

believe me I understand I am giving you a lot of info here that may seem overwhelming, but mercury could be one possible reason that doing all this cleansing is stirring up metals in your body and making you feel worse.

Unless you eat a ton of seaweed the likelihood that you are Iodine sufficient in your tissues is about zero. We are being bombarded with too much bromide, fluoride and chloride to stay Iodine sufficient.

Once again I am a fan of testing. I realize the inherent limitations of tests, but there is also the potential of them giving useful information. There is an Iodine loading test and also a bromide level test that you also might consider. These days I am less interested in the iodine loading test because everyone is low anyway. Although sometimes it can give info that implies an iodine transport problem. I am much more a fan of checking ones bromide level as a baseline before starting iodine and then rechecking every 6 months or so. I am mostly a fan of this bromide test because if people don't see a noticeable change in how they feel right away in a month or two they stop taking iodine.....while it may take several years to kick out the bromide from your body and thus take awhile before you notice any changes. Iodine is a long-haul nutrient.....some people notice changes right away, other notice changes over time.
you can get iodine/bromide test at http://www.hakalalabs.com

do you have silver fillings?

again sorry if I am dumping a lot on you all at once, I am just pretty passionate to see people get well.
