Yes I think borax will act better on the Candida than just 3 mg of boron (though; the boron in capsules is usually made from borax anyway)
Borax is how I got rid of 20 years of candida.

If you go for it, make sure you take a clean product I recommend Mountain rose`s Borax ; it is a cosmetical grade / 100% natural one that I have given to kids and cats; just a pinch or two is needed daily. For the kids to take it they dissolve it in a little warm water, add some ascorbic acid and the Iodine for the day, then fill the glass with their favorite juice and drink.
It is something with this combination that work exeptionally well; like a factor X or something.
