MMM, I don't see why the same technique couldn't be applied to cooling the body. I've seen the Buddhist Monks in India use this technique.
I have used a similar technique to lower my heart rate, blood pressure, and breathing rate. Its also a good technique for centring and calming. This technique has a lot of potential for healing as well.
I'm glad your able to get out into the sun, this is soooo important in the winter time.
