there is nothing wrong with this weight, IF it's weight that is borne of true nutrition, not empty junk fat/flesh.

But maybe, what she really means,
is that she knows the weight is not
'true', (that is, a lot of "feeding", mental, etc...)
and thereby, (simplistically)
interprets ;more weight;
as being proper...(As it might be, were it true
nutrient-dense 'weight'.
We here, know that *weight*
is NOT what it's about... So,it may be
that your mother (if you can sift the words/intent)
is speaking the truth;
that is--you 'need' to gain TRUE weight
and LOSE false weight.

If I were you, that's how I'd take it...
