OK, I have the following questions please:
1)Would an activated carbon water filter remove the chlorite (since these filters are designed to remove much of the chlorine in tap water)?
2)Does chlorite evaporate from water like chlorine does? If it does, than the protocol you describe could be used without having to ingest dangerous levels of chlorite just by letting it sit out overnight in a wide-mouth container, right?
3)What about waiting the 4 hours of contact time and then adding ascorbic acid to the mixture to render the chlorite harmless?
