Re: Water Fasting Frustration--Any Tips?
Hi, here is another thing that came to me, reading your message. Just because it's good to look at this thing from acouple perspetives. It is far easier, I believe, to (mentally) 'set the dial' to the 'upside' of water fasting, than to set up some sort of inner conquest where one promises oneself to break the hold....you see what I mean?
Several negatives already, in just that scenario.
Better not to put such dragons and dungeons in the way, when it is uncomfortable enough to simply go without the distraction, socialization and rewards that eating provides for us. "reason" starts to say, "c'mon man, you're starving!" we've all heard these voices, and old tapes...
Put more simply, don't make it into a 'sin and purge' and crusade kind of deal--That will only stir up the ego which is the part that crumbles without its various fixes. And it does not give up easily.
You have to kind of turn on the more radiant part of yourself, which is there-and which can manage quite well, most likely, without food, and will even come forawrd in appreciation, given a few days...
It takes three days to cycle into ketosis.
The rare exception would be that you have a certain genetic
abnormality that means
Water Fasting would not be for you--that the switch-over to ketosis would somehow not occur. But this is very rare. Other contraindications are apparently kidney or liver disease, and possibly some rare heart conditions. If in doubt about any of that, then best to get that clear.
