This is what worked for me....
I know everyone's different, but this is what has helped me:
1. I eat 1/3 cup of home-made sauerkraut w/every meal (recipe can be found at:
http://www.healingnaturallybybee.com)
2. I've eliminated wheat & dairy
3. I take probiotics (currently metagenics ultra flora DF) & udo's superbifidus...you need lots of bifidus for the colon
4. I also eat 1 jerusalem artichole (aka sunchokes) a day to feed the healthy bacteria in my colon....you WILL get gas from this but that's healthy/normal...research is finding that prebiotics like those found in sunchokes are just as important as probiotics.
5. I also eat fresh greens, 1 banana daily
6. I don't take psyllium fiber as I've found this damages my intestines & feeds the unhealthy bacteria. Actually, I don't take any fiber supplements at all.
I hope this isn't overwhelming, but it took me years to figure out what works for me & if I can shorten your journey...that would be great.
