Not sure if this is IBS and not sure what to do...

I am new to the site. I have been suffering with what I think is IBS for over a year, at least I have been tracking it for a year... its actually been going on much longer. Anyway, I feel constant cramping and boating (sometimes worse than others) I am lucky to have 1-2 bowel movements per week. I've been experiencing chronic constipation. I notice some times are worse than others depending on what I eat. I've gone to multiple doctors and have had multiple tests done, but nothing seems to be working. Doctors have labeled my problem as IBS, but all of the research I've done makes this illness sound like a catchall for Doctors to use for digestive problems that they can't do anything for. I'm currently doing a colon cleanse. I am passing stoles more regularly, but I am still experiencing a lot of cramping and pain.

My main symptoms: Constipation, pain in lower abdomen, cramping, bloating, gas

What can be done to treat these symptoms??? Thank you. I am in desperate need of something. This is driving me crazy!! I'm afraid to eat anything because I don't want to inflame my intestine....
