hypothyroid and birth control

Does anyone here find that birth control interferes with their thyroid? I'm on depo-provera and I've been reading into it's side effects, and I've decided I want to stop it and try something else.

Could anyone recommend a birth control method that won't interfere with the thyroid (apart from condoms). Many thanks.
