To melt the coconut oil, run some hot water from the tap, and put it into a wide, shallow container (I use a small bowl). Put the coconut oil into a smaller container, and put it into the warm water to melt it. Make sure the coconut oil has cooled completely, but is still liquid, before using it. DO NOT HEAT COCONUT OIL IN THE MICROWAVE! Microwaves change the structure of what you heat in them, and they kill the lauric acid that makes the VCO work. Tweet
