End with candida

We are knocking to the right door.

After reading thousand of posts, hundred of abstracts, talking to microbiologists, doctors, specialist, pharmacist, allergist, immunologist, chinese doctors, I have a better idea about what is going on.

I have reviewed the evolution of my illness over the last 15 years. This has allowed me to better understand what is going on.

Doctors doesn't talk to microbiologists and microbiologists doesn't talk to doctors. We only have to put the pieces together. We have to put together all the information and build a theory to understand what is going on so we can efficiently fight the monster.

You have to get rid of the red form of candida that is not suppose to be there. Red form (chronic erythremateous candidiasis) results from a huge and untreated overgrowth of white form due to Antibiotics . As long as you've not totally eradicate the red form you are prone to yeast overgrowth. I don't believe probiotics to be able to eradicate red form. Probiotics may help prevent that red form from feeding a new overgrowth of the white form which make us really sick.

How to know if you have white form? You get intense die-off by taking antifungals, you are also bloated, you may have balanitis or vaginitis, you may have tons of excruciating symptoms caused by candida by-products. If you see white candida in your vagina or penis, you still have white form.

After long term antifungal, you don't have anymore these symptoms. White form is gone. You feel better but some symptoms may remain due to leaky gut and remaining red form. Red form is still there and it is intracellular. You may remain with vulvodynia or scrotodynia and some leaky gut issues due to red form. If you feed the red form you will have white form again.

The goal is to eradicate this red form. I believe after 6 months RX antifungals I have eliminated the white form but red form was remaining in my gut and on my genital skin. It was a matter of time before red form feeds white form and lead to a new overgrowth under favorable circumstances(chelation, starch intake).

Probiotics won't do any harm to red form. They may help prevent red form to contribute to a new overgrowth.

The only way to end this infernal cycle is to elimate red form. Because antifungals are fungistatic, it takes long time because red form hide in the cells. You have also to maintain your immune system in TH1 because this red form is one of the most opportunistic stuff and it's well hidden. You have to get rid of all the underlying causes that maintain your immune system in TH2 and take strong antifungals for long time to get rid of red form. The more these causes are important the longer it will take to get rid of red form. This fact is ignored by microbiologist who never talk with immunologists. At the same time you have to heal leaky gut which maintains your gut immunity low and make it easier to the survival of red form and the proliferation of white form. food intolerances are the last symptoms to go because leaky gut and sensitivity can't heal while there is still some red form. Your symptoms may be all gone but as long as you have leaky gut chances are you still have red form. One should continue antifungals as long as leaky gut isn't healed. Even most environmental doctors ignore red form and that is why their 3 months antifungals therapy lead inevitably to relapse of white form. There is no resistance at play if you get better. It takes only long time and the doctors who claim 3 months is enough are wrong.

It can take years but individuals should feel really better after 6 months RX antifungals therapy because white form should be all gone. Yeast by-products are now low and individuals suffer less. Symptoms remaining are due to red form (inflammation) and leaky gut (sensitivity/intolerance).If treatement is stopped white form will be back.

Jorge is also right. We need fungicidal antifungals to hope for a shorter treatment and a more aggressive attack on red form. Echinocandins are the way to go to shorter treatment.

According to this theory that explain perfectly the evolution of my symptoms over years, I think we are close to the truth.

I was almost there, I should have continue antifungals. That is what I will do. I'll also tackle at the same time underlying causes (lead, mercury and e. histolytica).

The worst thing to do is to doubt about the lenght of treatment because doctors say 3 months treatment is enough. We doubt and we stop. We are affraid of the consequences of antifungals. But don't get me wrong, consequences of chronic candida infection are far worse than consequences of long term antifungal therapy.
