Reflux problem

This started after a walking holiday in the hills - it seemed to be a result of being under par, overexertion and eating badly while walking - I've also had poor digestion for many years with low HCl and Digestive Enzyme production (my maternal relatives and daughter have all had gall baldder surgery). I've virtually got rid of the GERD by eliminating tomatoes, beans, onions and my diet is generally vegan and wheat/dairy free.

I get reflux when walking particularly uphill and particularly within 2 hrs or so of eating. I thought it might be hiatus hernia and saw a chiropractor who pushed my stomach down over a number of sessions. I'm mid 50's male.

Problem is that it's very difficult to get any exercise unless I fast for several hours.
