I don't think that Palin is stupid. She just lacks intellectual curiosity. And that is even more dangerous than stupidity since so many people see this trait and think that it means "She's a regular person, just like me." And for too many people, that enough reason to vote for her. After all, how many people voted for Bush because he was the kind of guy that they would have liked to sit down and drink a beer with.
