People should not have to make a case to a moderator, when the edited or hidden post, did not breach any TOS. It is the moderators job to know what the
TOS are, and be mindful of the fact that these are
Debate Forums . It is not the moderators job to censor posts, particularly without any warning or explanation. This is why there was a kerfuffle.
BTW, once a post is edited or deleted by a moderator, it cannot be restored or amended, a moderator can only unhide a hidden post. This is why it is so important for a moderator to err on the side of caution when editing or deleting.
