Re: Simply Exhausted
It sounds like you are the the peak of your detox. Everyone detoxs differntly. When I partake a water fast, my peak in detoxing sympotms show up around day 12-16, as you have allowed your digestive tract to fully rest, and now your body is cleaning house full time.
You will feel restless at times at night, sometimes around 2 or 3 a.m. as your liver is most active at that time and you are at your detoxing peak, so you will find yourself awake and not understanding why. It is your
Liver Cleaning house.
The aches and pains you are having is probably your body healing/cleaning house. It is getting rid of unwanted junk, such as phlegm as well as renewing cells.
You might get a headache if you are not drinking enough water. Remember when you are detoxing, your body is flooded with ketones (fat that is being burned), as well as other unsavory things that your body cleaning out. You want to make sure that you are flushing these things out by drinking a good amount of water, to keep the healing and cleaning process going.
If you end your fast now and in the wrong way, you might do more harm then good, because then all the toxins that your body is trying to flush out will just stop and sit within your body. It will make you feel worse coming off of the fast, then just continuing it until your body is healthier. Look at it like having a fever or a cold. Your body is getting rid of "fever or cold (toxins)" like stuff in your body, and you feel horrible. Would you stuff your body full of food if you weren't feeling great? If you did, you would feel worse then what you did.
Just relax, drink plenty of water and keep your mind busy so you can get past this detox peak. Sometimes the detox peak is the hardest to get past, depending how toxic your body is.
Believe me what you are feeling is very normal and nothing to worry about. Just make sure you continue to drink plenty of water to help flush out the toxins faster.
