Re: Struggling to start a water fast / how much can I lose?
Hi, as you've found, days 2 to 4 can be the breaking points of many fasting attempts. Once you get to day 5 it's much easier from there forward.
What I have done, and recommend to others, is when you get to the point where you feel you just have to eat, instead of heading to the refrigerator, head to the bathroom instead and get out your enema bag.
A full bag salt solution enema will not only cleanse toxins from your body but also depress your hunger significantly.
The longest fasts I've done have been juice fasts for 2 weeks, and I took at least one enema, and sometimes 2 every day - typically one in the morning or around lunchtime and another at bedtime. To me, enemas are essential while fasting.
The most weight I lost was 10
pounds over 2 weeks, and I do a fast every 2 or 3 years to get my weight back to where I want it.
Best wishes!
