Re: colostrum and food allergy to milk/dairy

Good question, I've been thinking about trying this myself, though I just found out I can't do casein.

Looks like it supports a shift from Th2 to Th1. Interesting page here: http://www.socialanxietysupport.com/forum/f11/balance-the-immune-system-th1-t... Never found the exact snippet quoted in the search results, but down near the bottom it's mentioned a couple of times in a list of helpful substances.

Even HV's most serious objection //www.curezone.org/forums/fm.asp?i=1623094#i ("The antibodies in colostrum that were so touted are not even absorbed. The gut closes off to intact proteins, which includes antibodies after the age of two.") might not apply to people w/ leaky gut.

My QNL catalog which lists "bovine colostrum (whole, not defatted)" describes it as a "special immune-active fluid secreted by a cow for about three days after giving birth." Secreted from where?? Must be from the udder... so it has lactose and casein?? Any experienced users out there/testimonials?.. I'm leaning away from it...
