Re: What kills it on the skin? for women
I have the burn also. itch/burn combination.
Boric acid, you can buy the powder in a pharmacy, but ask around. The big ones don't carry it, but the mom and pop ones seem to. Get the gel caps in the health food store, or pharmacy (off beat pharmacy) and you can fill the caps. where a dust mask. You don't want to inhale it, it's very fine and powdery.
Boric acid works really well. I did this for months and months. Only problem, messy messy discharge. You have to wear a pad. Annnoying, but maybe yours won't be as bad as mine.
cocunut oil works great. It's very gentle, stops the itch immediately. don't know if it will cure. None of these things cured but for relief...they're good. Boric acid cures many. Mine just would keep comming back.
I have the Nystatin ointment. I like it, it is soothing and nonirritating.
My gyno told me to try A & D ointment. Now, I'm giving the Nystatin a break and using the A&D. It is very soothing and non irritating.
Some have success with T-Tree suppositorys, or you can just mix with cocunut oil and dab on. Try those.
