Re: Chronology - My decent into hell - advice?
Just ran into your post by accident, so here's a bit of advice:
- Blastocystis is probably the worst protozoan to get infected with. It is bordering with impossible to cure. I am not saying this to frighten you, but to make it clear that it is the most likely cause of your troubles. In addition, those infected with one
parasite (protozoan) are usually co-infected with some other ones, most usually E.histolytica and/or D. fragilis.
- There are many reasons why Blasto is a
parasite from hell. One of them is that it hides really well, and another one is that it gets used to various
Antibiotics . Virtually all microbes and
parasites can get used to medications, if you give it to them in low doses. Your taking Metronidazole twice daily at 250mg is exactly that. Either you take the full dose (500-750mg TID for 15 days, depending on your weight) and kill them off (and repeat if necessary), or you don't take it at all. This way, you kill 90% of weaklings, and 10% that is left off is resistant to medication. Then their offsprings will not be bothered by Metronidazole as they will all cary the special, resistant gene... you get the picture. I took 750mg three times a day, combined with many supplements, vitamins, and GI=0 food and lots of rest (take a vacation and stay in bed). If you take wrong food, or if you don't take rest, you are doomed. Instead of avoiding certain foods, be thankful you are allowed to eat anything at all. Here is what you can eat: green vegetables and meat, but not pork. No milk products of any kind, no fruits, nothing with glycemic index greater then ZERO. (plenty of info on the net about foods with GI zero).
- It is very likely that you picked up something else at the same time as well. All your symptoms are typical for a really bad infection. Usually when you eat something that is infested, then you are taking more then just one bad guy. "Birds of feather flock together". Bad food is a proof positive that it was not handled properly; assuming that only one bug or
parasite infested it is naive, especially in a place like Peru (in a factory setting, usually the opposite is true and you do get only one bug most of the time).
Bottom line: do not take medications haphazardly, but study them first, make sure you know correct dosages and so on. Read medical reports and journals, and only take them when you know MORE then your doctor does. DO NOT rely on doctors opinions. They have zero understanding about what they think they "know".
