Re: On day 14 of fast...Going nuts!?

Hello,

First of all, try to relaxing. Fasting is a very emotional, as well as physical journey, so worry and working yourself up with not help you deal with this fear.

If you have obsessed about food in the past, thinking about it now or worrying about it probably won't help you. You need to just tell yourself that "I will eat healthy within the proper portions". When you fast, it resets, refreshs and revives the body, so your body will not be able to take the huge amounts of food or the unhealthy foods that you put in it before, unless you force it.

After a fast, you will crave fresh food such as fruits and veggies. I know from experience, if you get healthy and then eat a greasy burger, it will make you physically sick, beause your healthy body is rejecting it as if it was a disease.

Maybe (if you can handle reading about it) you could read a book about healthy eating, which shows you how to eat in portions, what are healthy alternatives to eat, rather then the fattening and unhealthy things you might have been eating.

You also need to read something about fasting. Herbert Shelton is a very good author on water fasting. Or reading a bunch of things online, as there are a couple good websites that are very helpful. Fasting books/information will tell you how to break your fast correctly, what happens to your body when you fast, and how to prevent yourself from diving back into unhealthy eating.

Just remember fasting gives you strengh, not only physically, but mentally, so you do have the will power to control this fear and preventing it. You are in control of your choices and your body, so it is your decision to decide which road you will take once you break your fast. Remember you have the will power, if you didn't you wouldn't have gotten to day 14 of your fast.

Believe in yourself and believe that you will make the right decisions concerning food.

I hope this helps.

:o)
