Re: BP oil spill: US scientist retracts assurances over success
This is an outrage as so many people trusted
NOAA to oversee this analysis. Now, BP has
pulled out its resources and basically signed
off on everything. Hard to tell if they will
just point the finger at NOAA and say "their
report said it was gone". The admission is small
consolation also to the families who have returned
to the beaches and allowed their children to play
in the toxic sand and water. Meanwhile the spraying
of dispersants is STILL going on. My goodness, what
will it take to make them stop??
If the spraying of chemtrails is any indication,
the United Nations just banned the spraying of
chemtrails, but it may take another decade or
more to get it done. On a bad day, like today,
it would seem that the spraying and poisoning
of the Gulf may continue for years and years.
Seems as long as the oil is there, BP is willing
to continue to hide it using the dispersants
and the media blackout they have somehow
managed with the help of the Obama administration
to minimize their liability and responsibility.
It also will make it very difficult to raise
awareness of the dangers of the oil and the
dispersants when most people consider it a done
deal...last years news so-to-speak. My own
family is out boating and considering it safe
and that I do not agree with what the official
line "was", that the oil was gone, only makes
my family consider me in a light which is not
accurate. This story has not made headlines
or coverage by CNN either, so along with the
money BP is spending to assure Americans they
did the best they could and happy trails...
most people will never comprehend that now
the government is saying, perhaps they were
in too big of a hurry to call this a done deal.
In reality, unless media connects the dots
for the public, most will assume that illnesses
are probably coincidental or attributed to
other things. I have been reading stories
where people will say, the water looks funny,
not normal, and others insist it is only
algae or the people are not remembering
correctly. Denial of this issue and its
repercussions is strong and seems there are
those willing to hold up the fence to obscure
the truth in this matter and those who insist
that there is a huge problem behind the fence
are being told to shut up.
With any luck, this disclosure might be a
foot in the gate, through the fence of
denial and more people can make informed
choices about what they are willing to
accept to live near the Gulf. In a perfect
world, BP would also be recalled to task...
Thank you very much for sharing this info.
I consider the admission huge although
small comfort...
blessings,
Zoe
