 This is interesting technology, there has been some outstanding research in this field lately.

I can see solar cells getting cheaper and cheaper to produce, and hopefully this will see solar become one of the primary sources of renewable energy.

These ideas increase my optimism about the future greatly :)

One of the inventions I have been wanting to work on for a long time is a clear photovoltaic glass for windows.  I know how I want to do it, just have not had the funds for the prototype.

What really sucks is that I saw the idea I was working on 20 years ago for nuclear powered photovoltaic batteries just came on the market.  Oh well, not the first time I have seen my ideas come to fruition by someone else.  This is why I need to hurry and get my lab built and equipped.
