Yes, flushing does absolutely remove stones from the gallbladder. The Dr.s were reluctant to believe this of course, and I had a few heated conversations with them, but the facts are facts. It was the same hospital that did the first ultrasound which detected "several" stones and a distended gallbladder due to the large number of stones several months ago when I had an attack. The latest ultrasound done last week showed only a few stones, not enough to really worry about. But, from their perspective, any amount of stones, i.e 1 or 10 is the basis for removing the gallbladder, especially if you have problems like I did. They are partly right, it could happen again and then we would have to repeat the same process again, which wouldn't be good for any one, especially me. I eat jello for 5 days as my main course...yech.
