How long does it take after eating something alkaline to make the urine alkaline?

I have been having an awful time getting my urine ph to be normal. Lately it has been around 5.5 a lot. :-( The symptoms that they say go with acidity are to a significant extent present also.

My saliva ph is usually normal, about 7.0. I understand from reading on the net that this uph/sph combo means I am not processing calcium well. I am on Armour thyroid meds which can make one need more calcium, for sure, as can all thyroid meds.

My experiments have included taking 8 (6 = 100% rda) Twinlab calcium capsules with about 4 tbsp of apple cider vinegar to help break down the calcium, including about the same amount of water to keep the acv from hurting my esophagus when swallowed, with a straw to protect my teeth. All on an empty stomach soon after arising.

It seemed once that helped turn the paper green (or was it something else I ate??) but not today, as of about 5 hours later.

In addition, I have tried using acv with goat's milk powder. Goat's milk is alkaline as well as being strong in calcium, but I have gotten inconsistent results with that, too.

In addition, I have been juicing wheatgrass, which they say is the king of alkalizers. (As far as I can tell personally it is terrific for more energy, but has very little impact on that uph paper.)

My diet is way healthy, no sugar, no caffeine, lots of sprouts & fresh fruit, whey.

The thing is, I don't really know, on the occasions with the uph is green, what the factor was, since I don't know how long it take food or drink to show its effects on the ph paper.

If you have any ideas on how to beat this problem please let me know. Thanks!

Oh, I also drink ozonated water. Even w/o the ozonator my water, as the strips show, is alkaline. I drink about 2 quarts a day. One would think that would help, but no.

:-(
