I've found that what I do externally has no effect. If it gets really bad you can use monistat to jump start it but for me it has been about my diet. On any Candida diet with antifungals it goes away for me (or is manageable) same with the McCombs plan (which is a loose candida diet with specific antifungals and sauna use).
I've now been a raw vegan for 4 weeks and am taking not antifungals though and the problem has gone away. I switched to Raw vegan because after a year of anti-candida diets I felt like it was a losing battle. I would feel ok, but anytime I cheated it would come right back and it didn't look like I"d ever be able to eat "normally" again.
