Re: Adrenal fatigue...or hyperparathyroidism?

Yes, I went to Dr. Norman. Because I could not get a clear answer from my local doctors, I paid for a phone consult with him/his associates, after sending my labwork and Dexa Scan results to them. His associate called and diagnosed me with hyperparathyroidism/parathyroid tumor. They recommend not getting a sestimibi scan until you see them. I had already decided that if I needed this surgery I would go to them. I flew to FL and had the sestimibi scan and surgery in one day and came home the next. I did have some problems with low calcium for about 10 days, and took more than the prescribed amount of calcium to offset this. I also felt hypoglycemic for about 10 days, but I think this was just my body adjusting to the changes, and waiting for the remaining parathyroids to wake up. All in all, a very successful outcome. I would recommend him- he is excellent at what he does, and I didn't have alot of fear about surgery because of this.
