The Monks have to be the most interesting bunch......seems if your child becomes a problem, you donate that child to the monks and quite a few leave after they have grown up, etc...otherwise the best probably started a very young age and live the life they were trained to live.

The Monks we spoke with were all X MONKS and had a wife, even though marriage is not a commn thing for 1 reason with the men that were not born in Thailand....they are fearful that their wife would kick them out and take 100% of the $$$, so they just shack up and pretend to be married, but even then, the woman owns it ALL when it comes to property, so all the man can take is his cash.

We heard many stories of men marryinh Thai women only to have them take every dime they had and kicked to the street and one story was of such a case and the man became a well known Monk......one book by a monk is entitled from HOME to HOMELESS...

The budist dominate this part of the world with ancient and new temples galore...while in Dubai, its all muslems....Dubai suspects everyone and monitors all...so if your not muslem and wealthy, Dubai couldn't be a place anyone would want to live, but since the wealthy are able to supply jobs, many from many countries live here....aka- slave labor; even if paid large wages.....the none skilled labor is bused in like true slaves, but evidently worth it to them to have some sort of job, so when they are bused back to the slums that they can afford the tv....even in poorest Thailand, they have a tv in their grass hut.

Many live on the dirty ground, in a dirty hut; with the bugs in rural thailand....but with daily rain and their religion, they seem very clean and very nice......but the bad/rebelious types surely exist and are refered to as "bandits'.

A true Thai farmer can plant on a slope so steep, very few Americans could ever attempt to walk up such a slope. If they droppeed the harvest, it would roll to the bottom none stop....why such steep slopes do not erode seems "strange" to me....in America such steep ground could not hold soil and these people grow pineapple on slopes so steep that I would need the help of a rope to climb.

KING COBRA can be anywhere in Thailand......they are a monsterious snake; even in the snake shows they won't handle a full grown one....the young ones are enormous and fast. Many differant snakes live in the jungles and water, along with bugs GALORE!

Dubai is a gimmic town in a desert, simply meaning all is FAKE, from your water to all food; you must work for everything...while in Thailand, all grows and thus supports human life freely....but also supports many creatures and where people exist, so does the tourist trade..

Russians seem to be the dominate tourist.

Very few americans anywhere, yetthe humans speak english more than any other none native language.

You can tell from the "past" government education...the asians are trained to see the white people as the enemies...the ones that stole/harmed, etc....in their past history and the ons to BLAME the government problems on...and from what little I seen such as museum history, the asian governments are not a place anyone would want to live near or ever trust...while the common people are the opposite their government.

In all cases, tolerance exist because of ONE THING and ONE THING ONLY....they all want your $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ via the tourist trade..."IF" money did not exist, I believe NO country, NO race would tolerate each other.
