I would fight for things that didn't involve the possibility of losing ones job or being branded a trouble maker by bosses/peers etc. The stress involved in that would be enough to exhaust ones adrenals.
I can understand, but at the same time we also have to consider how many rights we want to relinquish.
And unfortunately the governments in particular love to use intimidation tactics to keep people from enforcing their rights. A good example is here in the US where a police officer will threaten to take you to jail if you do not sign a ticket (Summons). But a speeding ticket is actually an ILLEGAL Summons. If someone states that they are not willing to relinquish their rights so they are refusing to sign they have the right to refuse on this ground. If the police officer then threatens to take you to jail the officer has then committed felony coercion. But they will still use intimidation to induce compliance just like other organized crime groups such as the Mafia.
Another example was when Bush was still in office. There was an anti-war protest in Denver. The police were videotaping the protesters, identifying them then putting them on terrorist watch lists!!! All for enforcing their rights to peaceful protest.
