Re: Could this all be caused by my Mirena?
Yes cucan2, I think you fit in very well with the Mirena victims. One of the first symptoms I had was the feeling like I was coming down with something. I was also running a low temperature (100 degrees) most of the time. I had it for several months. But you might also have problems with adrenal fatigue from the stress. The hormonal imbalance only aggravates it, and any thyroid issue adds to it. I was tested many times for thyroid because I had so many symptoms, but the tests were normal. I was tested for lupus and MS - tests were normal. My symptoms really started picking up after our family moved to new state (which meant I was leaving the hometown I grew up in and lived my whole life). My husband started a new job, and it was exciting but very stressful. Then I developed yeast infections and recurrent strep throat. My body was screaming that something was wrong. I think that the Mirena weakened me, imbalanced my hormones, and opened the door for the stress and illness. I've been taking herbs for adrenal support, and while I still struggle greatly with my symptoms, I have more energy and stamina. A year later, I'm far from normal, but having the IUD out was the first step towards helping my body to heal. It can take a long time for some people to recover, but most do.
Good luck and keep posting!
