You might want to read Stephen F. Olmstead, MD - Life on the Edge - The clinical implications of gastrointestinal biofilm. He describes how Candida grows in the epithelial tissues protected by a biofilm. The meds have to penetrate the biofilm to kill the Candida. His treatment involves attacking biofilm with an enzyme mixture, using pre and probiotics and an antimycotic which kills yeasts. The way I read the article it seems a person could use Candida herbs instead of the antimycotic.
I used a herb mix (Kroeger's), Neem, tried to avoid sweets amd was on the SCD at the time. Candida symptoms are gone. I may have had another yeast - Saccharomyces, which is released when Tapeworms are killed ( Hulda Clark ).
