Re: Questions before I try again- Thank you!
Thank you for your advice, Telman- and all! I have to admit I get a little confused by conflicting suggestions about whether it is ok to drink water, but since I tend to be a "by the book" kind of person, I will probably try again without drinking water in another week.
It is helpful to know that the nausea is normal and expected. I think the dehydration is just especially tough for me because I am lactating which makes me quite thirsty.
I spoke to Julie Chang of sensiblehealth.com on the phone yesterday, and she said that the Gold Coin Grass and Chinese Bitters would not be safe for my breastfeeding baby, but that Coptis and Curcuma would be safe. She said they would increase energy flow in the liver and stimulate bile flow. Perhaps that would help with the post-pregnancy sluggishness you mentioned.
I also just have to mention that as miserable as I was during the night of the flush, and as much as I swore I would never do That again, I have felt much better this week than I have in over a year! The pain in my gall bladder has also been milder and less frequent. So I have changed my tune now after having spent some time enjoying the benefits. I didn't expect the flush to help my depression, but it has.
Thanks again!
