This is very true, and what amazes me is people worry about dental fillings, but seem quite happy to accept the poisoning of our waterways with mercury, every day more gets spewed out into the environment from every coal fired power station.

Another hidden cost that people don't often think about is that the coal used in these power stations needs to be transported there, and guess what fuel they use to transport coal, diesel and petrol, more pollution.

That's not even taking into account what it costs in terms of pollution and destruction of the environment, just to dig the stuff up.
