Re: Wait a second

My position on fat, cholesterol etc are detailed in my extensive papers called Fat and Cholesterol as well as one called A Big Lie. You will find that there is much overlap and in common between what you say and what I wrote.

I have advocated the use of saturated fat ( such as butter) as a good source of fat, and lowering of bad carb because of insulin issue you mentioned for a long time. Above the ground green vegetable as complex carb is good and should not be grouped in the same camp as bad carb. There are other issues as well. Modulation is key as the body needs a balance of fast energy as well as slow energy, both to be derived from good sources and delivered properly. That is the general principal involved. Fats are essential for the body. My articles talk about that.

In addition to the kind of nutrient, the way it is cooked is important. Unoxidized cholesterol in raw egg yolk is much better from an oxidative stress perspective ( that can contribute to atherosclerosis) than fully cooked solid egg yolk, for example. Both are cholesterol and has the same calorie. Cooking olive oil in high heat is also undesirable as compare to using it as salad dressing. These are just some examples. More are in my articles.

I think after you read my papers you will find clearity on the science and physiological aspect.

As far as your statement that I promote rice milk, let me make it very clear that as a general rule, I do NOT promote rice milk for Adrenal Fatigue as most ( but not all) in AF already have carb issues as you mention. I promote water and has been for years as the best liquid for overall health. My paper on Water talks about this. This is consistent with the many papers I wrote on insulin, carb etc through the years.

Sometimes, water alone is not enough, and more calories are needed. In those cases, it can be considered short term. some in AF are so decompensated and are bedridden as their gastric system slows down to a point that they need some calorie quickly. They are essentially wasting away and need more prompt calorie delivery when you look at the overall picture clinically. Their fluid should therefore include calories so they have more energy. Rice milk can also be considered in small amounts as substitute to use on top of cereals or to be used in coffee for those who insist on having coffee and those what insist of milk because of their dietary habit what they do not want to change, etc.

Also bear in mind that not everyone with Adrenal Fatigue has insulin issues. I have young people with Adrenal Fatigue that have normal insulin and blood sugar. They may have delay food sensitivites such as that from diary products that trigger Adreal Fatigue. Rice milk or almond milk may be considered. As well, sometimes, it can be used in small amount as a challenge to see how the body response to carb loading.

Every nutrient Mother Nature created has its unique uses. We should use it wisely. Each person is different. The key is to use the right nutrient at the circumstances for each person's needs.
