Actually glucosamine has been shown in numerous studies to work, especially glucosamine sulfate. Although it is VERY SLOW to work taking at least 4 months to even start showing benefits. Chondroitin though is pretty much garbage. Only about 8% is absorbed.
Studies claiming that glucosamine does not work usually get their results by either underdosing the subjects or halting the studies before the glucosamine has time to build up and show benefit.
