Re: The Psychology of Climate Change Denial (article and link)

climate change is real... whether one believes it is man-made, and\or otherwise... it IS actually a combination of the two.

Warming? Cooling? Extreme weather? - It IS all three.

I am sure some people here have been aware of the more extreme weather in their areas...

Others have likely noticed how the seasons seem to be shifting a bit... summer lasting a bit later into the fall... etc.

Talk to people that garden... there has been about a 2 to 4 week shift in planting various seasonal foods over the last few years.

The mistake climate change advocates made was first calling it global warming when in fact it is more a grievous loss of the planet's natural buffering systems due to man made pollution causing acidification and thus a disruption of the earth's metabolism... which BTW - will reach a tipping point... some say we have already passed 3 of 7 critical thresholds... passing a fourth, which could come soon according to some, would be moving past the point of no return no matter what we chose to do about it... even if literally going agrarian and primitive once again.

The planet's loss of its ability to buffer weather extremes is the same as someone losing the ability to buffer pH within their bodies... it is a shift, or change of terrain if you will.

The loss of a correctly functioning bicarbonate buffer system in our bodies leads to all havoc breaking loose in terms of health and well being... wild swings in one's health and well being become the norm with a broken bicarbonate buffering system.

Natural gas and mineral cycles\metabolism are being disrupted... both globally and at the cellular level in all life on this planet.

And for those that do not believe the planet is a living being... chew on that last statement a while.

Mother earth is meant quite literally... she gives birth to our life through hers... our health is affected by her health as well.

Which brings me to the next mistake climate change advocates made... pointing a finger at, and blaming it on carbon alone... when most people with even basic grade school science, should know better.
