Re: Opening up this book again, White Coated Tongue IS NOT ALWAYS CANDIDA!! Read my story!
Interesting....
One thing that I quickly took note of on this board in general is that a white coated tongue seems to be one of the hardest things to get rid of for most people, even when they feel much better from whatever they were suffering from, whether it was candida overgrowth, adrenal stress or something else. If you do a search you'll see people are perplexed by this issue going back several years now.
I kept thinking to myself that although I feel great in general the fact that I have this nasty coat on part of my tongue is obviously a sign that I still have not put everything back in balance. Then from getting advice here, everything from your bowels are congested, even though I am having 2 healthy bowel movements a day, to your tongue is a mirror of your intestines (had clear GI lab from Metametrix), I really back stressed constantly thinking that I have something brewing inside.
Like I said before, I think all of us who have a coated tongue suffer from it for different reasons. In my case only parts of my tongue were coated, the rest of my tongue and mouth were pink.
One thing I've been thinking about lately is how perhaps something in my diet is creating an imbalance in the amount of zinc my body holds on to and thereby creates a deficiency if it is in fact zinc as I suspect. I dunno, but again my tongue has stayed clear since Saturday. I'll definitely post back after I work with this new Functional Med Practitioner.
Have you tried HCL pills yet?
