To be successful you will need to stay away from food, and where even the thought of food can make anyone cave in and give up.
Preoccupy yourself with something else such as motivational literature on fasting. If you are tempted by any food in the house, go for a short walk (not towards the nearest food-shops though)!!
The book that inspired me the most by far was Paul Braggs: "The Miracle of Fasting" where he writes uniquely in such a lively and motivational way.
