These are all good ideas. I read also not to eat animal protein and no nuts while the liver is inflamed.

Capco--one of the things in that book, Prescription for Nutritional Healing, on the topic of treating Cirrhosis of the liver was GARLIC. So, you are not off-base on that!! Funny, last week I was craving garlic and I took some garlic tablets I have in my cupboard.

I can't remember all she said, but she said that getting good quality EFA's is very important in treating a damaged liver. She emphasized lots of fresh juices like carrot and green drinks. She also said that you may have to go on a fresh juice and/or raw veggie diet for 2 weeks during the period of inflammation.

I have also started taking CoQ10 - read that it, among MANY things, will help to regenerate the Islets of Langerhans in the pancreas (where insulin is produced). Co Enzyme Q10 is a vital part of the activity of every cell in our body and utilizing oxygen and creating energy. That book also recommended CoQ10.

Almost every health food store uses that book as their 'Bible'- it's worth it to go and read what it has to say on the liver.

If you've even seen some of the photos of stones (on Curezone) you see that some are packed in and embedded in the biliary ducts in the liver. I'm sure that when some come out, there is a lot of tenderness and that we even have scarring in there (that is what Cirrhosis is, in part). So, even if we don't abuse alcohol, we can still have scars and adhesions according to her.

ALSO, THE MOST AMAZING FACT IS THAT EVEN IF 25% OF THE LIVER IS SURGICALLY REMOVED, IT WILL ACTUALLY REGROW AND REGENERATE TO THE SAME SIZE AND SHAPE! It is the only organ to be able to do this! So, that should be really encouraging to all of us!

I just try to visualize my liver, pancreas, gallbladder, spleen, etc. HEALED, CLEANSED, ETC. Sometimes even during a flush, I will lay may hands on the organs and ask God to go in and heal them right then. May sound funny, but I believe that there is much power in faith and also in our own mind and healing hands to assist our bodies in the process!
