depends on how brave you are. my idea and your idea of a good idea might be entirely different.
you know you need iodine. you know the easiest kind to take is KI. the elementals are likely to make you go more hyper. damage to the thyroid is mitigated all or in part by supplementing selenium, which you should already be doing. if it were me, i would try to go for the wolf-chaikoff effect and take the nuke dose of 135mg of KI. thyroid production should decrease at that point. if not, any effects should subside after 24 hours. most likely effect other than W-C would be to go a bit more hyper. have some broccoli handy.
