Cold weather is not necessarily bad if the feeling is that one really needs to fast. It is only harder because one needs to stay warm and that is not granted in Winter.

People who want to fast in Winter, make sure they have extra coats, socks, hats (whatever it takes)to keep warmer. They also take hot water bottles to bed for their feet, drink warm water, etc., as needed. Because of this, it is usually said that Winter is not good for fasting. But, if precautions are taken and there is the need to do it, fasting can be done any time of the year.

Of course, Christ will need to clarify this for all of us. He might feel or know different.
